What this site collects, and what it doesn't.

Short, because there genuinely isn't much to say. Last updated 8 September 2026.

The detail

Who runs this site

averyirwinbooks.com is run by Avery Irwin, an independent author publishing nonfiction guides to artificial intelligence. Avery Irwin is a pen name. You can reach a real person at averyirwinbooks@gmail.com.

Email addresses

If you ask for the AI cheat sheet, you give an email address. That address is used to send you the cheat sheet, and occasionally to tell you a new guide is out. It is not sold, rented, traded or shared with anyone. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes the address.

If you would rather your address were deleted immediately, email the address above and it will be, without you having to give a reason.

The "Which AI should I use?" tool

The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent anywhere, never stored, and never seen by anyone including me. Close the tab and they are gone.

Tracking

This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no analytics script, and has no tracking pixels from Meta, Google or anyone else.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, as any web host does. Fonts are loaded from Fontshare, which means your browser makes a request to their servers. Neither is under my control, and both are described in their own privacy policies.

Links to other places

Links to Amazon, Instagram, Goodreads and elsewhere take you to services with their own privacy policies. Once you click, you are on their terms rather than mine.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, EU, California or anywhere with similar rules, you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice the only thing that could be held is an email address you typed in yourself. Email the address above and it will be handled.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be mentioned in the newsletter rather than slipped in quietly.
